Designed by the engineers at intimus specifically for the fast, safe, total destruction of Hard Disk Drives (HDDs), the intimus HDD Granulator / Hard Drive Shredder employs a hybrid destruction method that combines the benefits of shredding and disintegration. These rugged durable hard drive shredders break HDDs down into small particles. Users determine the final waste particle size by selecting the appropriate sizing screen from 6 available options. Larger the screen sizes are capable of higher the throughputs – up 80 drives per hour. Particle sizes that meet the requirements of DIN Level H-5 are achievable with the 6mm screen. However, as security requirements increase and screen sizes get smaller hourly throughput rates become lower.

The HDD Granulator hard drive shredder destroys the entire hard drive including the drive chassis and platters. It can also destroy hot swap drives without the need to remove trays or caddies.
