HDD Media is comprised of traditional hard disk drives, laptop drives, server drives and other magnetic media including computer tapes, floppy disks, and audio/video cassettes. Typically these items can be shredded to a larger waste particle than SSDs, however due to their large size, rugged chassis and internal platters standard HDDs require a more powerful destruction device like the intimus HDD Gladiator or HDD Granulator.
